Parametric conversions are done on a by the hour basis. Pricing is fixed though based on our initial assessment and quotation of a particular data set.
Primary parametric methodology includes the initial basic translations (per
above). Then the data is assessed for the best method to go parametric. We do
have parametric translation software in house but it requires a user to have
both CAD systems open side by side and then the program replicates the tree from
Catia to UG. Due to differences in the way the CAD systems analyze and create
data, this process reduces the remodeling effort about 30%. Again we assess the
initial data and then give fixed quotes based on that data.
